Biography
Ata Ghavidel
Born in 1988 in Ahvaz, Iran, he began his musical journey as a guitar player in his childhood. He studied Persian music under Amir Hasan Amin Sharifi and composition with Karen Keyhani. Ata graduated with distinction in composition from the University of Applied Science and Conservatory of Tehran. He also completed his master's at the University of Calgary under the supervision of professors Allan Gordon Bell and Dr. Laurie Radford.
Ata has also studied with composers Reza Vali, Ken Ueno, and Nader Mashayekhi, and participated in masterclasses by Chaya Czernowin, Don Freund, Katharina Rosenberger, Alessandro Solbiati, and Jacob Rataj.
